In 1994 System Sensor USA started a multinational joint venture in Xi’an, China. Xi’an System Sensor’s capabilities enable it to be System Sensor’s production headquarters for all of Asia and the surrounding areas. Products from the Xi'an facility supply the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India, Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan, as well as many other places in Southeast Asia.
The Xi'an facility uses the same advanced technology, production process, management system, quality assurance system and modern manufacturing equipment as System Sensor USA. Xi'an System Sensor produces both Intelligent and Conventional versions of ion, photo, and heat smoke detectors and accessories. Product quality, performance and specifications are manufactured with the same standards as System Sensor USA. Xi'an System Sensor expects to produce a combination of over 18 million smoke detectors and accessories this year.
Using the same technology and product quality as System Sensor USA, Xi'an System Sensor has been able to meet the needs of the domestic and international markets surrounding China. Xi'an System Sensor is an ISO9001: year 2000 UL certified company; additionally it has domestic certification from the Fire Alarm Product Quality Certification Committee. All Xi'an products have passed the quality and reliability tests of the UL and China National Test Center. In 2000, Xi'an System Sensor was the first company allowed to renew certification without the annual assessment audit of the China Fire Alarm Product Quality Certification Committee. The company received this special honor again in 2002.
